Need HELP Passing Georgia Emissions

The last time I had the test done I failed HC and CO. HC was 138 and the limit was 108. CO was .71 and the limit was .60. NO passed with 389 and a limit of 751. The patient is a 92 3rd Gen RS 350 TPI. I have made some changes since then but I'm not sure if they were all good, mostly because I'm not sure what kind of problems make the HC and CO go up. I have been burning chips to fix some drivability problems. The Fuel mixture has been trimmed, (Was running rich) and I installed a 190 Deg T-stat and reset the computer to turn the fans on at the appropriate temp. I have also tweeked (retarded)the spark curve in different areas throughout the RPM range to get rid of a spark knock problem I was having.

I guess the bottom line is that it's time to get through the state circlejerk and I'm just wondering how these changes might affect my readings and what else I should or could do to pass this thing the first time.

(I passed by accident on the fourth time last year. The guy accidently entered my car as a 4 Cyl and aparently a 4 Cyl can put out twice the emmisions of a V8.)

One other thing. This is a Dyno Test. (25MPH I think) The car was originally a 305 TBI. When I did the engine swap I installed all of the emission stuff that should be there. No modifications other than the T-stat and chip.

Been there tried that! But good suggestion!

I flat out asked the guy what it would cost to get out the door with a green slip.
He said, "Listen, If I said $1000 you wouldn't pay, but even if you did It would spend pritty fast after I lost my job. It would be cheaper for both of us to just do this the right way."

I don't know how close you are to Florida, but if you're pretty close you could always get a florida license on the car and inspect it down here. The emissions aren't near as strict down here, so you could pass easy. Just blerting ideas.

I'm not exactly sure what the DRY GAS trick does.
Would it help this situation?

What about retarding the timing? What does that change?

If you dump a whole lot of dry gas in you will probably pass, but it will mess you your engine big time. I wouldnt recommend it.

Put in a high stat. From an emissions tester I leaned that running the car hot cuts down on emissions, so, run it 225 and you'll be fine. Also, try dumping some fuel injector cleaner in the tank, he said that helps too.

kick yer timing back and restrict yer intake, go back to stock if U don't have the stock elbow on there, hell stuff the canister if U need to, my bro did it after scoring 3x the allowed HC in CT, and then he passed with flying coors. . good thing is it is all free too
