Fan sw welded to head

This sounds like a stupid post, but I'm at my wits' end.

I have repeatedly drenched the fan switch (middle of top of psgr side head) with WD40, liquid wrench and cut my hands and arms to pieces trying to torque or jar the thing out, but it won't budge and now its starting to round out... any suggestions? should I just take a drill to it?

On a related note, I'm replacing it b/c I broke it's plastic installing headers recently. The connector that plugs into it slipped out from where I had it tucked away and its plastic melted onto the header! Anyone know where I can get one of these connectors to solder back on its wire?

Thanks!

all of them i ever removed came out pretty easy. might try heating the head a little around it with a torch, if you can get to it with out catching anything on fire. also use a 6 point socket or wrench. i doubt if liquid wrench will do much good since the threads are sealed to prevent leaks.

WD-40 stinks!

Look for some PB Blaster, it is truely the best out there by far. Spray it on one morning and again in the evening, try removing it the next day.

I had an extreamly RUSTED exhaust bolt, I let it soak for 2 days and I could take it off with my fingers!

If you can't do it any other way, you can drill it out.I've had to do this with a plug screwed into that same spot on a crate motor,so I could get the fan switch in.
Just try not to get too many shavings in the water jacket.Sticking a magnet in the hole afterwards will help with that.

Thanks for the advice re. PB Blaster - that stuff ROCKS! I threw out the old WD40 and Liquid Wrench; I'm using that from now on!

Glad I didn't have to drill it out. Now if I can just find a connector to plug into it (I have the partial connector jury-rigged in right now) without scavenging at the remaining local junk yards...
