The impossible ignition switch, cannot remove wire harnesses
As the topic says im replacing my ignition switch, and im stuck on removing the blue and black harnesses from the switch. Theres also this white thing that goes into the switch, and that is a pain to remove also. The main problem im having is accessibility to the whole thing. I cannot move my hands freely enough to disengauge any of the harnesses. Heck, even removing the two little bolts and screw took forever. Im stuck on stupid and its not getting any better it seems, if anyone has ever replaced this maybe they can walk me through exactly how they did it, cuz i cannot find any way to remove the three harnesses. I appreciate any help, thanks

well, ive gotten all the harnesses off, and attached two of the three to the new unit, but the black wire which looks like its coming from the carpet, which plugs into the back of the switch is a serious PITA. I cant get that **** to plug back in. Also, how do you know that you've got the ignition switch in the right spot? I mean, the switch only lines up a certain way to get the screws in, and is that the "correct" way to go about it? I mean, the way its in now it seems hard to get to accessories, but then again the column is flopped over in my seat maybe that will change. Any suggestions?
