idle surge and won' restart
My 89 Firebird GTA, 5.7 106,000 miles has been difficult if not impossible to restart after it has warmed up to operating temperature. After it cools down (at least 1 hour later) it will restart. I have replaced plugs and wires. It is a bone stock car. It will also surge a bit at idle maybe 100 rpm, but not always. It runs strong with no hesitations at all. Any thoughts? Thanks, Fred.

First step would be to verify fuel pressure, especially under the conditions that it acts up.
