Checklist for no spark

1989 Trans Am 350 TPI

Okay so my car died and I checked and its not getting any spark. I don't know where to start - is there a list of things that I should check or test before I go replacing stuff? If I do have to start replacing ignition parts, where should I start? Sorry I've never dealt with this kind of problem before. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Chris

Fusible link, HEI module, coil, coil wire, wet distributor cap, ignition switch, any wiring, pickup coil/reluctor, shorted tach, and about a hundre others. You best friend will be a volt/ohm meter. Check for power at the coil first. That will split the list right in half.
