Coolant leak hell

Okay, so my intake manifold was leaking.

Not a problem, I picked up a complete fel-pro gasket set for my 350 for $29 ater tax at Hot Rod barn. And I went to work. The next morning I eagerly woke up and started to fix my coolant leak. I started tearing into it with my freshly brewed coffee, and I noticed my bolts were only hand tight, and when I removed them I noticed all but two were missing the lock washers. (so the just rattled loose). So I walked my *** 4 miles to ace hardware and 4 miles back with 15 Lock washers. I ran RTV along the front and back ridges to keep it from leaking oil. I ran the bolts down with a hand socket driver, then went around it and torqued the nits to spec on the Intake manifold. I then set my ignition timing and played with the carborator. It fixed that!

Then I noticed I was still loosing coolant, so I traced that to a slit heater hose. I piced a new one up, and that fixed that!

So I am leak free! Or so I thought, I am driving down the road, enjoying my new found joy of of the tq in the Camaro, and POP! My radiator poped. Luckily I had my tools, and I coasteed into a autoparts store parking lot. I ploped down my $158.27 at advance auto parts, and installed my radiator there in the parking lot. 4 gallons a Prestone antifreeze, a bottle of Redlines wetter water, and distribuitor cap and rotor buttion (noticed mine was fried when I was doing the intake manifold gasket) later, I was back on the road going to see my upset girl friend (upset because I was late AND dirty). (Side Note: there is A WHOLE LOT OF POWER locked up in a fried Distribuitor cap and button, it felt like I just put headers and exhaust system or something on my car. )

That was 2 days ago, now today (Cristmas Eve), I noticed a coolant leak on to of my intake manifold AGAIN! Coolant is Gathering in the same exact nook of the intake manifold as before.

I am thinking that maybe the edlebrock intake manifold that is on it has warped do to running it for a day or 2 with coolant running low (HAD to go to work to be able to afford parts). The motor temp guage never reads HOT, it sets right where it should. 3/8 up.

What do you guys think? I keep telling myself that it is just warped, but I keep asking myself the question,"why did it hold for 3 days if it is warped?"

Any Ideas on my problems?

Seen this before when using lock washers on the manifold bolts, oil will leak too. The factory used a sealing washer, looks like a lock washer without the cut. Check the thermostat and hose first then go after the bolts and washers. Antifreeze is sure aggravating sometimes.

The presure tuest turned up with with the intake manifold in the same spot. New intake manifold is on, let's see how long this holds.
