Antifreeze keeps running out!!
Car is a 91 TBI 305 T-5.I can fill my radiator and watch it pour out the back of the engine-not as fast though.Looking from the top i cant see where its comeing from.Looking from underneath its coming from above the bellhousing and running down the pass side of it.Im also getting water in the oil.I dont remem seeing freeze plugs in this area. Can it be a head gasket blown to the outside??Back of a head cracked??Never heard of a block cracking that high!!
What you guys think will determen whether i pull the engine whole(which i dont really want to do). Then pour water through the thermestat hole till i see where its coming out.Or whether i break it down piece by piece.

Cracked head or blown headgasket? Did you overheat the car before this began happenning?
Sounds like you need to pull some of the A/C stuff out of the way and find where its originating.

I bought the car and it was like this.Never found this leak out till i cured the vats prob. The oil was clean when i got it.Filled it with antifreeze and started it(have to hit throttle to get it started). Then oil filled with water and antifreeze started running out.Dont know about its life before hand but i know it sat for atleast a year with a vats issue.
How you pressure test the system??
Thanks

Remove the radiator cap, install a test cap with a hose fitting, attach a small pump with a gauge, and raise the pressure to 12-14 PSIG (if you can hold that pressure). Any leakage should become apparent unless it is due to warpage as the engine warms.
I didn't catch the part about coolant in the oil in your first post. That's not likely a freeze plug, but is more likely a gasket for the head or intake.
On a positive note, at least you'll be able to get a look at the inner workings of what you bought. For me, if the intake is coming off, it would be a really good excuse to remove the water pump for inspection. Then, since the timing cover is right there, and you have to drain the oil due to contamination anyway, removing the timing cover to check the chain wear would be prident. At that point, the lifter would come out for a quick inspection, and the cam would be screaming to be removed.
However, if the engine still has the swirlie heads (reportedly, some later year TBIs did not) I'd be tempted to resolve that problem.
But test the system first.
