White stuff on dipstick???

Hey guys, about 1500 miles after my last oil change when I pulled out the dipstick to check the oil I find a white streak of stuff on the bottom of the dipstick mixed in the oil. The rest of the oil level reads fine and does not have the white stuff in it. I thought at first maybe it was some coolant mixed in, but my coolant level is perfect and has not changed. Any suggestions on what this might be? I'm going to get the oil changed in a few days anyway.

My only guess would be coolant.

Could it be condesation from the cold weather? I mean, its not a ton, just streaks on the bottom part of the dipstick. The car is running normal, no smoking, only 89K miles, and I'm supposed to be selling it!!!

try scraping it off with a towel or something, put the dipstick back in the tube and check it out again in another week or so.

Could be alot of things, but if your coolant level isn't decreasing or your not smoking, then we can rule a possible leak out of the picture.

Thanks for the replies fellas. I went out tonight and put the dipstick in, wiped it off, and repated this about 5 times and now it comes out without any streaks at all, just good looking oil. I double checked my radiator and it is plum full to the top. I'm pretty sure this is just some sort of condensation from the cold weather cause I'm not loosing anything. I'll check it again in the morning after I drive it. "Knock on wood"
