gas gauge problems
ok, I just found out that the gas gauge in my car is bad. The actual gauge, not the sender or wring....
Does anyone know what gauges I can swap in place? I would think that GM would use the same gauge among several cars to save on costs right? So can I swap the gauge from a different car into mine? I know it may be a bit of work though having to swap the needles take apart the gauge etc etc...
Would the gauge from a Grand Am, Grand Prix, Chevrolet Celebrity, Olds Ciera work? I mention those cause those happen to be in the JY right now

No, even if you found one that looked the same and fit it would be calibrated for the gas tank of the donor car. Have you tried EBAY? I have seen gas gauges for my car going for about $10.00.

Dang, I was afraid of that!....well, looks like I'll have to try e-bay like you suggested or wait for a car to end up in the JY
