ZZ4 cam in an LT1
Anyone use this combo? It's a 94 LT1, will the stock computer run it ok?

Haven't tried it but.... on a 94 LT-1 the Optispark is driven via a splined shaft that goes into the nose of the cam, or maybe it's just the top timing chain gear...... I wonder if that would cause a compatibility problem somehow, just physically bolting it all together.
I'm sure somebody will chime in here.

I think I just need to put in a dowel pin. It's got the hole for it. Anyone know for sure?

The non-vented opti's (93-94) are driven off the splined shaft, yes. Vented (95-up) systems are driven off the cam pin, IIRC.
In order for the cam to work with Opti, a machine shop would have to drill out the nose of the cam to fit the opti drive system (again, IIRC - but am 98% certain).
