alternator and belt question

i have a 350 that had air and power steering and im only running an alternator on it because the other things are wasted space and weight.
what can i use to mount the alternator and adjust belt tension (i saw what looked like a turnbuckle assembly on a motor in a mag)
and does anyone know what size belt id need?
