TPI problem??
Sometimes (usually in the morning when its cold) the engine shuts down while braking at the start of a curve. It starts up like alway, it runs like always (up until it shuts off). It doesn't always do it. Sometimes it does it just a couple miles from the house and sometimes about 10 miles from the house or maybe not at all. My foot comes off the gas, the torque convertor is locked up, the 700r4 is in OD. My foot goes on the brake, the TC unlocks, the rpm drops to the point where the transmission comes out of OD. The engine rpm begins to drop, goes back up, then drops quickly to zero. I put it in neutral and restart while going through the curve and it then stays running the rest of the way to work. Never does this more than once during the trip to work. Its a bone stock 86 IROC with the 305 TPI. It doesn't do it in the evening when the temperature is warmer. Sometimes the engine is not up to operating temp (2 miles from home) and sometimes it is (10 miles from home). Any ideas would be appreciated.
