Hi, I converted my car to a T5 from a 700R4, and i belive i got everything in, the motor was swappd before this trans swap also, but it did attempt to turn over with the 700R4, now i dont get anything when i turn the key, the car does seem to have power, the lights and everything work. Any thoughts ?

test your battery just because the lights work your battery still may not have enough power to turn your car over

ok i think that when you removed the 700r4 you should have removed the wiring harness from the shifter being an auto the transmission had to be in neutral in order to start and not in gear so when you replaced with a manual trans the safty switch is at the clutch pedal which has to be pressed down in order to start find the wires that you removed from the auto cross the switch wire this is called a neutral start switch try to get a haynes manual to find the correct color wire.

look under the steering column there should be a set of wires on yellow and one purple they need to go to the clutch pedal so the car will start you will need to have a clutch pedal switch installed or you can jump the wires and the car will start in gear and risk the chance of hitting something
goodluck if you can't find the wires i can email pics
