Make my car feel like new?
How can I make my car feel like a new car. Solid rigid, interior not flexing and all that jazz. Anyone try and make their car feel more like new? What could I do to improve the feel of the ride.
Sounds like you need a set of sub-frame connectors
All Fbody's start to develope "squeeks and rattles" as they get older. I have friends with with 4th gen LS1's that already have the same problem and they're not half as old as the third gen's.
A lot of people seem to think Spohn's sub-frame connectors are the best design and I'll take their word for it.
I don't have them on my IROC (yet) but I have a complete BMR/Spohn suspension on my LT1 Firebird and couldn't be happier.
So there you go. A set of subframe connectors will eliminate 99% of your squeeking problems. They'll make your car feel 100x more rigid. Like the entire chasis was carved out of a single piece of granite.
The next thing I'd do is upgrade new tire's. You'd be surprised just how much influence tires have on noise/comfort.
I bought a set of 4 new Yokohama AVID V4S and have been running them for over two month's now and I absolutely love them.
Best tires I've ever owned. Thery're great high-performance all season tires.
I posted a small review of them when I got them but nobody seemed to care.
Hope the reccomendation might be usefull to you

as for the interior panels squeaking... I took mine apart and reassembled them , making sure that everything was tight. that helped a lot..
