need help hooking up mechanical Oil Pressure guage...

I am in desperate need of hooking up my oil pressure guage, i searched and this is how far it got me. I need some more help. From searching i found that on the drivers side next to the distributor is where i should hook it up. I looked back there today to find 2 different things hooked up there. Which do i disconnect, (pics included).

The reason I am doing this guage is because on this 350 with about 10K miles the guage in the car was reading 80 which was clearly not correct. Then the other day I started my car and the SES light came on and right next to the light was the oil pressure guage which was reading somewhere about 10 ... I didnt know that when i am not using my computer the SES light can still come on... This used to be a V6 auto so just for ****s and giggles, I hooked up a snap on scanner to it and the only codes it pulled were ESC module circut and VATS... nothing about oil pressure. I know that these guages are often wrong buttt was it just a coinscidence that both SES and the guage showed problem?

What could cause an oil pressure drop? What should i look for? I need to get this guage in first but still what could cause it?

PLEASE HELPPP
Thanks,
Dennis

You don't need to go there if you don't want to.
There is another port (1/4" npt IIRC) just above the oil filter.
About an inch or so above the top of the filter.
Probly gunked up in that area so clean it good and you should see it.

Its not that it is gunked in that area, it is that i cannot see it at all, when i jack up the car i cant see it and when it is just sitting there i cannot see it but i can feel it, i think i would feel more comfortable hooking it up to either one of the ones pictured, if you know which one is the current guage i would just disconnect that one and finish it up. I am really really hoping that the guage is just screwed up and it is not my oil pump...

I believe the large one is for the gauge and the small one is the pressure switch to engage the fuel pump.
Some of the pressure switches has the sender for the gauge built into them (more than 3 wires) that should help you narrow it down.
Might want to just add another "Tee" fitting and have all three in there to test with.
