queston about comp roller lifters

I just got a set of comp's hyd. roller lifters P/N 853-16,when I got them, they were shrinked weaped, still in the box, new,I was just wondering, are you supposted to be able to push down the pushrod seat area like standerd lifters, because I can't seem to be able to do it to these (they move alittle...like a fingernail's thickness, but not like the set of flat lifters I have laying around), also the number printed on the body of the lifter is 26605, if that helps, I was just wondering if comp may have mess up packing them

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
They have some grease in them from the mfg process.

Clean them before you do anything with them; soak them in lacquer thiner or something.

Don't worry about how far you can push the push rod seat in, it's irrelevant. If it moves they'll be fine.
