Belt Tensioner Pulley Question

Hi Guys,
Can anyone tell me wether the bearing in the small tensioner pulley can be replaced? I will be chroming all of my pulley's shortly, and I need to remove the bearing somehow.

So, first question is, is that bearing capable of being pushed out?
Secondly, if it can be pushed out and for some reason it gets damaged, are there replacements for it?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Tommy

Yes. Most of the bearings I've replaced are either a 202 or 203, plain roller (Conrad type), double sealed. Make sure you get sealed bearings, and not just shielded bearings. Shielded bearings will allow moisture and contamination in and lubricant out. Fafnir 202- or 203KPP, or MRC/Nacchi/SKF 6202- or 6203ZZ bearings should work just fine. They are easily pressed out and in. I've seen a few on Nopars and other imports that use a grooved outer race, and those are similar part numbers, such as 203KPPG, including the lock ring.

Vader,
Thanks for the very thorough and informative response! Can these bearings be purchased at the local auto part store?
Thanks,
Tommy
