Ported 89 TPI base (pics)

Hey guys, my first post here. Im a regular on Corvette Forum, I was told you guys might have some tips.....Wanting to build a CA. emissions legal 406 for my 89 Vette, any ideas on runners...

Here's a link w/pics, mods if Im not allowed to crosslink let me know, figured that thread's already a few pages long. Thanks a bunch.

Also, theres some info on the runner EFR holes I saw another member here post about.

Anyone try building a TPI 406? Tips? Plannng on a small AFR head, small roller cam. Super Ram isnt in the budget. Want to look stock

THanks

Seeing as you are home porting I would buy the SLP runners and port them to match your base. I will be interested in seeing the flow numbers on your ported factory base.

Myself I went with the Edelbrock base and the SLP runners.

Looks like you opened it up nice. It outta make nice numbers on the bench, we'll see what it does on the motor. I'd stick it on my Superflow for you but I'm in Maryland. Get the heads where you want them first then you scribe the intake. Grind inside the lines and smooth out the runners and open up the dead spots.

I say go with the SLP runners and port match them where they meet the base.
