Is it possible for an intake gasket to cause this?
The car sat for 7 months after a collision. It was not driven afterwards. The radiator was busted. I replaced everything and got it road ready. It's dual exhaust and it's smoking out of the drivers side. White smoke. I would normally say head gasket but I did a compression test last summer not too long before the accident and it checked out fine.
Last summer the drivers side intake gasket was leaking around the bolt holes. Two at the front of the intake right over a exhaust valve. I put some teflon sealant on them and torqued them down. I think the gasket was shot but did it anyhow in hopes it would hold. It was fine until the accident. My guess is this gasket failed and is leaking coolant down there and going out through the exhaust.
Do you think I am correct? It runs fine and is actually overcooling since I put in a bigger radiator. It has a miss at idle like a vacuum leak. I've got my fingers crossed this is what it is. I can do a head gasket but I'd prefer not if I can help it.
A few people told me to get it a little warmer and drive it a little more. Since it was sitting it may have some water to burn off inside that exhaust . If that was the case, the right side would be smoking too.

Yes it could very well be leaking coolant into the heads if the intake gasket is leaking.
Also could be caused by cracked head/block, headgasket or some somrt of alien from mars.
Pull the intake and take a peek around for coolant and replace the gasket and see what you get.

Headgasket on that side. Rear cylinder blew the wire ring. No damage to the head. The oil milked up fast. It was fine before I started it the other day. I replaced both sides of the headgaskets anyhow.
