oil weight for road racing?

I've got a 383 with a high volume oil pump and an oil cooler. The rod and main bearing clearances are both ".0025. I'm looking for suggestions on which oil to break in with, and what to run after. I'm leaning toward a good 10-40 or 20-50 for break in, and probably mobil1 10-30 after a few hundred miles.

Anyone know a good source for oil recommendations depending on bearing clearance? I searched and searched...

i'd use 30 weight for break-in with GM engine oil supplment can added as well for the zinc content. then 10W30 mobil one after break-in and the rings have seated.
