Intake bolt AWOL?

Transmission: THM-700-R4
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt posi 3.23
Intake bolt AWOL?

So i went to my Grandma's house to visit my sleeping car (Michigan salt is crap) and i was looking at the engine when i noticed one of the bolts are missng from the intake manifold its the bolt closet to the firewall on the drivers side... is immediate action necessary?

ok so i take it my intake gaskets and stuff will be fine, they should be anyway but i think i may have to retap the bolt hole because i remember i torqued all the bolts down and it was all gravy then, but this particular bolt popped out...

popped out? like there are no threads there?

weird.. Buy a helicoil I guess.

ya its jus gone, and the threads are there at the bottom but they are too jacked up top to start another bolt, so i guess i gotta retap it, but is this a big deal?

nah, as long as there's no vacuum leak there, I wouldn't sweat it.

I'd strongly recommend popping the intake off and Heli-Coiling it....

Better now, than after your oil is contaminated by anti-freeze. Which is certain to happen sooner or later; more likely sooner than later.

well i jus did the intake last year and when i did i re tapped all holes to clear gunk out of em... and i noticed thos bolt holes went thru into the block, like you can thru em, so i think im in the clear with leaky coolant and that as of now ive got an unfiltered breather...
