L03----rough idle
90 formula with 305 tbi: idling really roughly....?! Changed (Plugs),(pick-up coil),(power brake booster),....the brake pedal is still harder than heck to depress! Could this mean engine woes like; valve spring or valve ----perhaps worse?! -brad

Mechanic just told me: he tried a new (map sensor ) to no avail, sprayed (ether) for vacuum leaks-- there were none!, But when he pulled one of the injectors off it ran just fine! He showed me its getting (too much gas) through the injectors. What could be the cause? BTW: there are no codes on his scan tool. 305 TBI. 90' FORMULA......ALSO... the diaphram in the tbi unit checked out ok too....

Have you checked the CTS and O2 sensor? A bad CTS and O2 can cause the ECM to dump all sorts of fuel at the motor if it is receiving a false lean condition. O2's are cheap so I would replace that just for the sake of preventative maintained. Your CTS can be checked with a thermometer, hot water, ice water and an Ohm meter. You can match up your recorded Ohm values and compare them to a chart. The chart is here on TGO but the search function is down. Perhaps you can find them on the net.
