What do I torque rocker arms too?

Hopefully, this place get's the search feature back really soon. We all need it, but in the meantime, how much do I torque rockers arms to? I am putting new head and intake gaskets in this week or the next and swapping in L98 heads for the Lb9 heads and I need to keep the rockers.

Thx.

You dont want to torque them. You have to adjust them. Here is a link.

That sounds difficult. How do I check about piston #1 being at TDC? I might as well just stick with the Lb9 heads for now.

Is setting valve lash the same as adjusting rockers? Because maybe you out down the wrong link to that site?

There is another way you can do it. Just do each cylinder one at a time, so you dont get messed up. The adjusting procedure is the same though.

why do you want L98 heads with lower compression?

Thanks guys, I'll give it a look again.

Mkos1980, the reason for the swap is to have a more complete L98. Will I gain nothing but lower compression by switching to them? If so, I'll just keep the 305 heads and have the L98 heads ported at anothe time.

Oh. I thought it was a 305 to start with lol. For the rockers. i had tighen them till the pushrods stops turning. Once I start the car up with no valve covers, I quickly adjust them with the motor running
