BRODIX 200IK to TPI Base?
I have the edelbrock high flo TPI Base#3860. I'm interested in the Brodix 220IK heads. I'm just wondering if there heads will mate up with my intake. I looked on Edelbrocks website and they list my intake #3860 as a direct replacement for the stock L98 base. Then the list #3861 for early and aftermarket heads? SO will mine work???
Thanks

You really need to do a search about using bigger runner heads on TPI setups. From what I've seen heads with a runner of 220 work better on bigger engines like 383 and 400 sbc. I wouldn't go no higher than a 195 or even a 180 runner I know it will give you a better power curve.
The difference between the two Edelbrock part numbers probably reflects the different angle of the center intake manifold bolts on the late model 87-92iron heads (72 degs) versus the factory aluminum and pre-87 iron heads (90 degs). If this turns out to be the case, I've been told you can modify the center bolt holes in the intake to fit either bolt angle. Haven't tried it myself. FYI the Accel base accomodates both angles.
