i have a 305 tpi engine i took out of a 1986 TA i want to put it in a 1948 chevy panel truck but i want to build the engine with a little more juice everyone i talk to says if i leave the TPI on it i can't i really like the TPI has anyone builded this e ngine with bigger cam worked heads ect and had more juice an kept good mpg the truck is going to be subframed rewired what ever it takes to updated this is not my first hotrod but is with this engine any help please greg

Try posting on the TPI board, there will be more help with specific questions there. I have had very good success with bolt on and free mods on a high mileage (189,000) stock LB9 myself.
