EGR connector

The connector that goes into the egr solenoid has 2 wires pink and black right?are there any other wires that are pink and black and have that same connector? because on the driver side of my car(other side of where the solenoid is) i have a pink and black wire with the same connector as the egr valve just floating around and i cant figure out where it goes. right now i have a wire connected to the egr solenoid that is much closer to it so i figured thats where it went

The connector for the EGR solenoid on an '87 should contain a pink/black wire and a gray wire. That is true for TPI, carbureted, and V-6 MPFI engines.

is it a solid black wire with just a small pink line or is it a pink wire with a black line?
