Another car starting issue
I need some help diagnosing a problem with my car.
Saturday night, I was out driving the IROC when all of a sudden, it shut down. I couldn't get the car restarted and towed it home. I searched for similar symptoms, but most cars with starting problems have modified ignitions or possible tuneup requirements.
Prior to the car dying, it was running great. No sputtering, no hard starting issues, no stalling. I was driving about 50 when the engine shut down. It cranks just fine and the fuel pump is priming. I have no way to test my fuel pressure yet. I checked for fuel at the fuel rail and there appears to be plenty there. The car now starts, but then dies immediately. If I give it gas, it dies...The plug wires were replaced last year, but that was maybe 1000 miles ago. The car is all original with 13k miles. Again, the car was running excellent just 5 minutes prior to this. Any ideas? I need to get the car towed to a shop if I can't get this figured out. Thanks.

Get your hands on that fuel pressure gauge and make sure you have enug pressure. Check for spark too. You could have a bad ignition module but considering it starts for a little you probably have a fuel issue.

My guess would also be in the ignition system. Check for spark like dankhound said. If you have spark then you can suspect the fuel system.
