91' RS, 305 TBI problems
Alright, on my dads RS, it was driving absoutely horrid, when cold it ran OK, but once warmed up it ran very poor, it was missing and running bad all around. i first checked the timing, it was +2, so i brought it back to 0, then changed the plugs and wires as the old ones were white on the tips (lean??) along with the o2 sensor, and that seems to make the car run much better, but it's not where i'd like it to be.
after new plugs and wires (its got a new cap and rotor) i can still hear it miss a little at idle.
and when driving it dosen't seem to have much low end, and once it gets into higher RPM ranges it feels great. also while accelerateing from lower RPMs i can hear what sounds like pinging/detonation.
anyone able to help me?

You could clean or even replace the IAC valve motor. That cleared up my problem when I had the exact same symptoms. The passages were nasty and the valve didn't extend and retract smoothly causing a crappy idle once the car was warmed up.

I still have the same problem after about a year.
I replaced everything from the fuel pump to ECM and all the sensors.
I would really like to find out what the hell is going on.
My TBI was spanking clean when i took it apart to clean.
Hmmmmm...
I'd say, you should check your Fuel preassure, but I doubt thats the problem.
Idle is usually connected with IAC, so I'd say clean it and see if its working properly.
Try to disconect you Est (the timing connector) and see how it runs.
Than disconnect TPS (throttle position sensor) see if it runs better.
Than disconnect IAC and see how that works.
Thats probably the best way to find out.
Let me know what happens.
