W.T.F. mate?

heres the deal, my motor bogging when i press the gas, but it feels like the whole car shutters. when i idle my motor idles off beat, its not smooth and rythmic, every couple of fires it jump s beat or something. its wierd to explain but something is definitely wrong. i cant take it to the shop yet cuz i gotta wait til i get paid, but i wanted to post on here and see what a few of u guys think.

Well fist off welcome to the boards and please only click once and wait, double posts tend to anger some people!

Now first things first, throw some new plugs,wires,cap and rotor in it. even if thats not the cause of the problem its probably well past due for it anyways.

and make sure the cap is tightly secured, double and triple check it, i left it loose on my car by accident and it couldnt even break the rear wheels loose, defenitly makes a difference in performance, hope that helps some.

What kind of eng is it?
If it's fuel injected, remove the fuel filter, drain it. Try to blow thru it in the normal flow direction. You should be able to blow through it VERY easily. If you can't, replace it.

so i took it in to the shop this morning, and the guy calls me back a few hours later saying my car is ready. the problem was a little vacuum leak. im so glad its nothing major. just wanted to let u all kno how it worked out. thanks for all the help
