I dyno'd my 1987 Formula 350
Just thought I'd mention this:
I have a 87 Formula 350 with 6900 original miles. Put it on a dynojet 248 with winpep 7 software. It's 99% stock with only a cat back exhaust system and a cookie cutter SLP Prom Chip. Under the hood is 100% stock, even the air cleaner etc.
Anyway it made:
216.8rwhp@4200rpm
296 ft lbs of torque@3200rpm
I'm not sure how these numbers compare to other stock TPI350's but I'm happy.. The dyno operator was surprised, he had just dyno'd a stock 2001 Bullet Mustang GT that made 225rwhp.
I recorded my first dyno pull where it made 215rwhp. My second pull (not recorded) made 216.8rwhp. Here is the link to my putfile page to watch the video if you'd like. You can also watch my 347 powered 403rwhp FFR Cobra on the dyno too.

that seems to be about average i would say. i would have thought it would have made about that power bone stock with stock exhaust.. but either way, not bad. chevy underated these cars.. 230hp crank, its more like 230 almost at the wheels. lol

Sorry to get off subject but what did you do to that cobra to get 403hp rwhp? Got any track times?

Cool to see stock dyno numbers, and yeah I'd say 87s were underrated just a tad.
Any chance you could post the dyno graph?

Cool vids. I too would like to see the graph. Did your cobra have the nose off of it or was the whole body removed? 400rwhp in that thing must haul like no tommorow.

I'll try to post the Formula's dyno graph soon. Who do you guys use to host pictures? I'm sure I can use putfile for my pics too.
The body was off the Cobra as I'm getting ready to paint it. The 347ci motor is just a really solid carbed combo using afr 185 heads and the right camshaft. I did my homework when building it. Its pretty amazing power from a small cube motor though. And yes, the car is insane. Top of third gear, and the car is still blowning off the P315's and getting sideways. I hope to take it to the track this summer. I'm thinking a traction limited 10.9--11.2@125+mph

Did you do any head work on those AFR's? An what is your cam profile?
I trying to build a 350 to do that at the wheels.

Link to formula doesn't work, it say it's ready, but doesn't play anything. The other one is still loading at the moment.

Anyone else having problems with the videos? They should work fine. Let me know.
The AFR heads on my 347ci ford are box stock except for some mild port matching to my intake and a valve spring upgrade. The problem with a similarly set up sbc is that the sbf Afr head seems to be superior on the flow bench out of the box. And the sbf 185's are 100cnc ported, whereas the sbc's 190cc heads aren't --you have to pay extra for that. The cam designer that I went with really knows AFR heads and designs wicked cams that work. If you're really serious about a cam, then call him. As my video advertises it's Brian at Hitech Motorsports.

Thanks for the info I'm not worried about my AFR heads mine have been competition ported and polished. I give the guy a call and see what he can do for me as far as the cam goes.
