87 Camaro cutting out/dying when first started

Hey guys I have an 87 Camaro Iroc z-28 with a 305 TPI, I have recently replaced the 02 sensor, the egr valve, plugs wires rotor an distributor cap and vacuum hoses.. Seems when I first start it up it wants to cut out and die so I hold the gas down until it warms up enough to idle on its own. I put the car in gear RPM's drop to 750. When in park i try to stomp on the gas and it hesitates and cuts out. When i am driving it really seems to bog down and doesn't have any power. Is this a timing issue? If you guys could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it
thanks
John

Have you checked for any codes from the computer?? Could also be a bad fuel pump or clogged fuel filter!!

Thanks for the response

I have changed the pump a while back probably a few years ago, but I have only put a couple 1,000 miles on it. when I changed the pump I did change the fuel filter. There are no codes, but it doesn't to want to idle when it is cold, I did notice a little backfiring when i stepped on the gas yesterday??
thanks
John

Check for vacuum leaks around your runners and intake.
