If not the starter, what else......
Hello everyone. It's been a while since I've posted or even been on this site. It has changed alot.
My problem is when I turn the key the car doesn't always start right up. Intead I get a "CLICK" sound. So, I changed the starter. Same problem persists. The car will start on the first turn of the key or the second turn and so forth untill the car starts. The starter has been changed three times. The ignition cyclinder on the steering column has also been changed, thinking it might have been a vat problem(I believe that's what it's called). So, what else should I check for?
I have a stock 91 Z28 with a 305 with 60koriginal miles. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

check your starter wires... old wires provide alot of resistance... check the voltage going to the starter and the voltage from the ignition that also goes to the starter.
