My cruise control has never worked right. Every now and again it just kind of comes on and when it does it gets stuck on (the switch doesn't do anything). Normally pressing hte brake pedal would fix this problem and I woudln't see it again for a long time. Well today it got stuck, anytime I tap the gas it soars to around 3k rpms. So every gear I have to go through first, tap the break, go through second... tap the break... ect ect.

What I'm looking for is detailed pictures of what the cruise control actually is so I can disconect it without messing up anything. The sooner the better... I consider it undrivable right now.

You should be able to just unhook the electrical cabe from the servo Part # 7 in diagram. Or the cable from the throttle 8 & 6 in the diagram. Do you plan on fixing it someday?

 

It ended up being the throttle body being all gummed up... go figure.
