Cam and Lifters
Okay, I have a really dumb question. I am builiding a 350 engine out of an 88GTA. I have a speed density TPI set-up with high flow runners and a high flow intake. My question is about the cam and lifters that I should use. More specifically I would like to know what type; roller, hydraulic, flat-tappet. I really do not understand the differences between the different types of cams/lifter.
Thank you for everyones help!

Your 88 engine will have factory hydraulic rollers. You can reuse your lifters as long as they're in good shape, and you need a cam for a factory roller block.

Okay, so I need to purchase a roller cam and hydraulic lifters? Any suggestions on brand? Currently, I am building a 383 stroker and I am not sure about heads yet. I would hate to put the stock heads on there but I cannot find anything for my budget ($1000).
