89 TBI 305, whats the stock distributor?

I would have thought the distributor would be a HEI... Could anyone please post a picture of theirs so I can see if the distributor I have in it is correct?

What is the correct distributor?

Thanks!
Bob

Welcome aboard.

Can't offer a photo, but it's a small cap with separate coil. It's still called "HEI", even though it isn't large with coil-in-cap type as they first were.

And ... it's not the same as the HEI dizzy's you see on ebay - the stock dizzy is computer controlled, where the ebay dizzy's are vacuum controlled.

Aha... that explains it. I was used to seeing the HEI with the coil on the distributor. Thanks!
