i have a 88 trans am gta 350ci tpi with about 104,000. the vehicle will jerk as im tryin to accelerate on a highway and has no power and at stop lights the car will jerk as well, the rpm will jump up and down as well as in idle. i have changed, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter less than a year ago. and just had checked for visible vacuum leaks and timing. still cant find the problem. would greatly appreciate some help on this. thanks

cause i am having the same problem and i took it to shops and the ran digansitcs it might be your mass air flow sensor or i was told it can also be you catalitic convertor.

Jerkiness is often a sign of a misfire. In the case of a bad MAF or a vacuum leak it would more likely feel like hesitation.

Even just the MAF burnoff relay does this . Causes surgeing . Try that befreo buying a MAF . Also try and tap it lightly to see if the condition changes. Try unplugging it to see if there are changes

good luck man !
