est problems
i searched for this and found many threads, many of which werent solved. the car runs like crap with the est wire plugged in, runs GREAT with it unplugged. anything over half throttle with it plugged in, it popps alot and bogs down. i have new cap/rotor/wires/plugs/coil/ rebuilt the dizzy with new pick up coil and module. the tach jumps all over with the est plugged in. what kind of voltage should i be seeing out of the est. i heard it was 5 volts while fully advanced, i had 5 volts at idle, and when i rev it, i went up to 6+ volts and backfired out the exhaust really loud. i also have a clicking loose change like noise once the car gets warm, only does it under load, and when im at WOT, it kinda clears up, im running sunoco 93 with base timing set at 12* btdc, 1986 Firebird 2.8 MPFI with 1995 3.4 shortblock

mike, i knew you'd find this damn thread, gimme some$$ to do a swap and then ill do it, i dont have big blocks layin around like you do, its faster than that toilet bowl injected maro you had, i checked the proper voltages going in and out of the module, i have 5 volts at the EST bypass, 5 at the white est wire, good ground, dwell is within spec and advances when reved up, but the timing light cuts out for a split second when i rev it with the est wire plugged in. im gonna have to drive it with the voltmeter hooked up to the white EST wire at the ICM and see what i get when it acts up, i dont have any shorts, so im thinking its either the ecm or something in the dizzy
