Big problem

I'm installing my small block and I've got a problem. One of the motor mount bolts is broken off in the motor (not my fault, guy who had the motor before). First I tried to easy out it. The tip of the ****ing easy out broke off inside the bolt. Then I tried to drill with a tiny bit right next to it and that damn bit also broke off. I'm extremely frustrated right now someone please shoot me some tips. The easy out is made of hardened steel which makes it impossible to drill without chewing up my bits. I feel so ****ing retarded right now.. doh.

That's always a good time. Maybe heating it up and a left handed drill bit?

I've heated it up and the surrounding "humped" area and also sprayed it numerous times with the best PB blaster stuff (tapping the area with a hammer) the hardware store carried. It was like 12 bucks a bottle and is made for loosening bolts.

The bolt is flush with the block. I'm wondering if I can weld on top of the bolt until I get a good surface, grind it down to fit a wrench and then turn it off? I would immagine the bolt is pretty loose (especially if I heat it 5 or 6 more times and use a **** load of the bolt lube ****), I just have no way of really getting a handle on it and turning it out.
Thanks
-Greg

Your on the right track. Take a 1/2" nut and hold it over the broken bolt or better yet have someone hold it there with pliers. Now take your welding rod and go through the nut and weld the broken bolt to the nut. Don't be shy here, you need to get a good bite. Now take a wrench and start to wiggle the bolt back and forth, slowly removing it from the hole. Take your time here. If you try to just back it right out it will usually break off. Trust me, this method works, I've used it dozens of times.
