Heads

I picked up a pair of heads for free yesterday, my buddies mom was cleaning out the garage, and I was wondering what heads they are and if theyre any good. The casting number is 10239906. I have a carbed 350, its a '77 and the heads are stock. Are these heads worth keeping? They are practically new. Thanks

From MorTec, Inc. Home Page :

10239906...96-up...350.........."Vortec 5700", "L31", 64cc chamber, 170cc intake port, 1.94"/1.5" valves

Yes, worth keeping. You need a Vortec-specific intake manifold to use them. It's best to get the spring seats and guides cut to take upgraded springs for more valve lift.
