quick valve lash ?
I installed my cam and heads today and when i set my lash it was VERY easy to give it the 3/4 turn after taking up the slack. Almost hand tight but the lifter was pushed down about 1/2 way. My ? is that this is normal for lifters that have not been pumped up. right?

I'm guessing this isn't the stock style locking thread nuts? 'Cuz those are HARD to turn...

ok, then yea. You're only fighting the lifter. I can push down on a pushrod and compress a lifter by hand, so with the mechanical advantage of the threads, it'll be easy.
Yes. After you reach "zero" lash, give all the rocker nuts an additional 1/2 turn. Then, as you drive the car, they will be noisy, but should quiet up after the lifters get pressurized with oil. Sitting at idle will take longer.
