GM cylinder head questions

Can any one shed some light on these ?
price seems about right, and if I understand correctly they are allready set up for "big" valves

eBay Motors: CYLINDER HEADS VORTEC SB CHEVY ALUMINUM HY-FLOW *NEW* (item 8074077932 end time Jun-16-06 12:15:20 PDT)

I am considering going the RAM JET route on my pickup and if I like it I might move it to the RS, I figure I want a set of vortec heads anyway, might as well go Aluminum and if I can get the 2.02 valves all the better. I am wondering if these are a genuine GM part and if the were actually produced ready for the 2.02's or if they have been worked. Also is there some other machine work I wil need to make these ready ?(Aside from installing valve's/springs etc)

Thanks
Dan

I believe 2.0/1.55 was the biggest valves for a stock production casting, i may be wrong....

You may have to cut the spring pockets deeper depending on the springs you will be using.

Those aren't the factory vortec heads. Vortecs tend to work better with the 1.94/1.6 combo I think.

They have been worked over in that department, I doubt any others.
You'd probably need to machine them, depending on the cam you use, tame cam, you're ok, large cam, need to machine guide bosses, and spring pockets I believe.

84z, how are you liking your vortech supercharger? *cough* poser *cough*

Those I believe are more of the Pro Comp knockoff rip off heads. The company out of China that those piece of crap heads came from are avoided worse than the plague. I know of a member on another board who knows the owner of that company and how much of a con artist he is. I also have heard horror stories of those heads failing on engines.

One day, one day. Just you wait and see

Actually my next motor might be a BBC. My buddy is getting lined up with a totally sick first gen with a 427, hes swapping it out for a 572 Then hes giving it either to me or we might stick it in my buddy's 87 chev 1/2 ton street truck.
