How to check ignition system

How do I test and ensure that I am getting spark to each plug starting from square 1. how do I test ignition module, distributor,coil,plugs?

Car: 92 Pontiac Firebird
Engine: 3.1 liter
Transmission: 5 speed manual
do a spark test

Get an insulated screw driver and stick it in the plug wire and hold the screwdriver about 1/4 in. away from the block, or any unpainted surface, and crank the engine. Normal spark should occur. make sure you don't hold the wire while doing this, use spark plug wire pullers that are insulated or hold the insulated part of the screwdriver. also make sure you don't do this test around fuel injectors or anywhere where fuel might be present.
