1991 z28 start problem

my 1991 z28 305 won't start went is hot.
I'm from up state new york

have you replaced the Ignition control Module yet?..I am assuming its losing spark?..if so by an AC DELCO replacement no junk from the local parts stores.If its not spark then shoot some more info out for us?

Does it crank and not fire, or does it just click, or nothing at all, dash gauges/lights working, etc.. what does it actually do when the key is turned to the crank position???

yes is turned to crank. won't start went is hot normal temp

Transmission: 700-r4

Axle/Gears: 3.42

Could be a number of things. First thing that I would check, and it's free, is open the computer and see if your running an aftermarket chip(piggy back). My car did the same thing except it would die after getting really hot and then would not start until it cooled. As soon as I removed that POS ADS powerchip my car ran like a champ.

After that, then I would suggest looking into other parts, like ignition modules, etc...

LIGHT UP THEM SPARKLERS

OK because it cranks but doesn’t start you’re
not either getting spark or fuel. To check for spark
with stuff you probably already have: get a spare
spark plug, connect it to one of the plug wires,
connect the threads to ground, have a friend
crank the engine and see if you’re gettin’
your little lightin’ bolt.
