350 air conditioning system on 305 engine
Hi, the air conditioning system was removed by a previous owner of my 305 TPI T/A. I can buy a complete a/c system that came from a 350 TPI Formula.
Would a 350 a/c system fit right on a 305 ?
I couldn't find a lot about a/c at all, hope this is the right forum.
Thanks, Eric

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Yes.
The 305 & 350 are identical, externally.
Make sure it's the same year model, or the same range of years at least, as your car. 85 & 86 use multiple belts including some V-belts and the compressor on the pass side, 87-up (I think that's the changeover year anyway) use one serpentine belt and put it on the driver's side. You can't mix & match those. Stuff from a 350, if it's out of one of these cars, will be 87-up since there were no 85-86 350 ones, and may not fit your car.

Hm, right, well I'll have to look for an '85 a/c system then.
But, if holes on the 305/350 engines are the same throughout the years, would it really be a problem to bolt over the entire (1991 in this case) air conditioning including its mounting plates?
I don't really care if my a/c would be un-original, but what I would need to find out is if the hoses would be mountable to the inlet for the dash ventilation system, which is still there.
Actually I thought this would be a really simple one when people advertise "will fit 82-92"!
Thanks for your answer so far!
