Hardest problem to solve!!

soooo pissed.

this problem has me stumped. I would start my car, and it would run perfect. but sometimes I would be at a stop light, and for about 5-10 seconds my idle would just swing from 200 rpm to 500 rpm, and then run normal. sometimes it happens when i have it in reverse and im pulling out of my driveway. I also lose power on turns!! wtf is that? I replaced everything. All vacuum lines are replaced except one that goes to this little plastic round tank underneath the bumper... what is that? an expansion tank for air I would think? I'm a plumber so thats what I would think it is. The only thing I have never replaced is the egr, and the feul pressure regulator. Do they have anything to do with this? last question, I relocated my Emmisions canistor to the other side of my engine, the vacuum lines are longer, does this matter? pleasse help

The 'orb of power' inside the fender is a vac reserve canister. It stores a bit of vac so your HVAC controls, cruise and anything else vac operated can still function for a bit if you temporarily loose vac ( going WOT)

It sounds exactly like a carbed car with low fuel pressure or inproperly set floats. But for TPI i have no clue...

Have you done the general tuneup, plugs/wires/cap/rotor etc?

I replaced everything man, all sensors. and I've set everything correctly...tps voltage is correct, timing is correct, no trouble codes, this thing runs amazing. just at certain times the car idles rough for about 5-10 secs. although I do have a small exhaust leak on the headers due to the ****ty gaskets hooker headers gave me but that will soon change when i install cooper gaskets. Only thing I havent replaced is my EGR valve, feul regulator, and feul pump. hmmm, my gas pedal also gets hard. Also, when i disconnect the vac off of my feul pressure regulator, the engine runs smoother but thats just because the psi goes to 50 when its disconnected. ieufrwigfiawfgiawurlrughqlwirughwirughriuh i have no clue man. i think its feul... thinking about getting an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. what do you think?

oh i have another question, my car detonated several times a month ago but its fine now, is that enough to destroy a couple of spark plugs? another thing, at night my lighst flicker a little bit at startup. whatis that?

yeap, thats new. I think I also have a sticky throttle cable. Need to grease it up but I don't know how... how do I get grease on the cable when the cable is inside a plastic line??? and yeah hell with it, im just gonna replace the egr valve, put an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on there, and buy a fuel gauge... the one that stays under the hood. Now the feul pressure is supposed to be at 43 right???
