can you give more info? Did it just start out of the blue, or did you chance something first? What motor? The TPI or TBI motor?

idle problem went the egine hot (out of the blue)
yes start out of the blue . the problem start went the motor is hot idle up and down, sometime the motor won't start.( no computer code I jumper A and B I have only code 12). went is cold the idle is ok ( motor is 305 tpi )

I think a good start would be to look into a pick-up coil or/and a ignition module and ignition coil.Something doesnt like the heat
