WEll here it goes!!

I brought the car home from the exaust shop and took it off the trailer.. did a test drive sounds nice--60's style rumble--

welll I parked the car and then 2 wweeks later (today ) I went to start sanding so I can paint the car, and I could push the car while it was in park, both forward and backward. the tranny made a clunking noise about every 8 inches of pushing. the tranny acted just fine when I test drove the car, also the shifter is in park and the cables are tight for the shifter and TV cable.

Is it possible that the tranny broke sitting there? or could the TV cable have come out internial to cause this to happen. in 35 years I have never come across somthing like this before.

Sounds like the parking pawl isn't engaging. You might want to ask on the tranmission board... There are people on there that know a lot more then I do and you will get a quicker response.
