bigger aluminum heads for lower compression

I bought this race ready engine and it has slp dome pistons (jegs part#867-140678) and runs racing fuel with the current heads. I want to swap it into my 92 camaro rs and use a pump gas and a carb instead of tbi. Jegs says that with 76cc combustion chambers these pistons will produce 11:1 compression. I like the AFR 210cc racing heads. Ad preformance has them in stock with 76cc combustion chambers.
how thick of a head gasket can I go with and who sells them because I would like to go slightly less than 11:1 static. I don't want to take the engine apart eiter. Could I reduce the cr to 10.5:1 or so?

Thanks in advance
Toby

What is the current compressio ratio right now?

You could get a thicker gasket, but I wouldn't go bigger than .050 compressed thickness. Most likely, that motor has a really thin copper shim in it as is because they are thin for increased CR, and won't blow out like a composite one.

Anything bigger might run the risk of blowing out on you easier. I believe stock is around .04 or something like that.

Supposing that your gasket is really thin, something along the lines of .015, then you will have a CR increase...maybe a few hundredths. If you have access to a die grinder and air compressor, you can smooth out the combustion chambers, which will not only reduce pre-ignition, but that slight amount of metal you take away will increase your CR slightly.

I would go out to say that if you take care of those two things, you can manage 10.5:1.
