82 Trans Am Crossfire Won't Start, Help!
Hi all--
Well, I recently replaced my coil, and my car (an 82 Firebird with Crossfire) was running great. I drove it about 500 miles, and just as I was about to pull it in the garage, it died. Kaput. And wouldn't restart. Now, I know the car is mechanically OK (no timing chain slippage), but I suspect that either my coil was faulty, or that my ignition module went out.
I did notice that now my tachometer doesn't move when starting (it used to read the cranking RPMs), leading me to suspect that my coil is bad, as the tachometer pulls from the coil--does it not? Any advice you might have would be great.
Fuel pressure is fine. I'm convinced it's an ignition issue, but not exactly sure what. There is no spark on any cylinder.
