Check engine light

When I get on the gas my check engine light will come on but seems to run the same. If I drive normal it will not and will run fine. My wife said she was driving and when she stops at stop signs the car will die, I have not seen this problem. I put the car on the computer and they could not find a code. Any help thanks

I cant see why it would matter but it started after new transmission install, which runs great with a 2400-2800 stall converter.

I dont believe that if I was having trouble with the TC lockup that it would make the check engine light come on. Also I drove it today and left it in third and the light came on again.

I also disconnected the IAC valve while the car was running and it did not change the way the car was running. Thought it should.

Disconnecting the IAC should affect idle, especially on startup, and may affect decelleration.
